I will shortly be getting a S/H Superb Elegance Twindoor and have some questions if anyone can answer.

1. Does the Superb have locking wheel nuts

2. Is there a net on the underside of the parcel shelf

3. Does the Columbus have voice control for the Nav function

4. Will it take a 4gb SD card. I have read that the max is 2gb yet my Bolero will take a much bigger capacity card

5. Can the rear seat base be tilted forwards or taken out completely like the Octavia

6. What is the approx price of a Xenon headlight bulb

2. Is there a net on the underside of the parcel shelf Not sure about the twindoor, but the 'parcel shelf' is retractable in the estate, so no net.

3. Does the Columbus have voice control for the Nav function yep

4. Will it take a 4gb SD card. I have read that the max is 2gb yet my Bolero will take a much bigger capacity card the max is 16 or 32GB

5. Can the rear seat base be tilted forwards or taken out completely like the Octavia estate yes, twindoor/hatch no

6. What is the approx price of a Xenon headlight bulb not sure, but they last way longer than normal bulbs, so in 3 years, the chances are it'll still be working

depends where you buy a bulb - dealer's will be £100+ - Aftermarket suppliers, around £35 for a branded Osram or Philips bulb.

1: Yes, not locking per se, but anti-theft

2: No net on underside - Elegance has roll-out sun blind fitted to rear parcel shelf (neat). Also parcel shelf very heavy, only lifts when open as true hatch, not when just opening boot.

6: I have been driving for last 32 months using Xenons and Daytime driving option (80% of normal headlights - not DRLs) and only had to replace headlight sidelight bulbs - there is a warning in the handbook

that this should be done by dealer (any headlight bulb change with Xenons fitted) and unless you have the tools it is very difficult - my hands certainly too big to get in tiny cramped aperture

3. Does the columbus have voice control of nav? depends on how old the Superb is , its quiet a recent innovation so if like mine the car is a 2009 model then there is no voice control, however its a 2011/12 model then it should have it.

my 2010 has voice control, admittedly, it's useless! lol

Mine came with them - dealer fit option perhaps?

Not sure if it's in the manual, but I regularly take the seat base out of my Twindoor - a firm tug at the front of the seat base and pull forward and out it comes. This lets the back seats fold completely flat.

Elegance spec includes locking wheel nuts. Remember that all the nuts have covers on (removing tool in the kit in the spare wheel), so it's not immediately apparent that the locking nuts are fitted. :)

Sorry Ray, the nuts are anti-theft not locking.

You're absolutely right, Phil. I've heard them commonly referred to as "locking" - although I don't think I've actually seen any that do lock, per se?

I've only ever seen one set, and that was at a car show. They were official British leyland accessories :D

The rear seat base definitely comes out of the twindoor, albeit as one unit - no split

My Superb came with a net underneath the parcel shelf :-)

According to the manual this is a factory fitted option which I do not have in mine. Also recommend thast it holds up to 1,5 Kg (3.3 Lbs) only.

I've had my Elegance twindoor since I got it new in Aug 2011, and never knew there was a roll-out sun blind fitted to the rear parcel shelf as standard. Have I simply been blind?
