Time for a new turbo

Featured Replies

Gosh, its been a while since i've been on here. :S Well my car has done nearly 70,000 miles and is now 7 years old and the turbo has been smokin' a little for a while and over the last week or so it has gone into LHM a few times, with sticking vanes identified as the culprit. I have arranged a new turbo to be fitted at Shark. I pop the car in tomorrow and I am leaving it there for the week. It already has a Shark remap to 170, but I am having a Stage 1 turbo fitted with uprated bearings and seals, EGR Deleted and a De-cat. At the same time Rob at Shark is arranging a Valet and wheel refurb as one of the Pegasus alloys is scuffed (my fault)!! Looking forward to picking it up next Saturday already. Will give an update next week.... :-)

Ok, maybe took longer than a week, but the car is now running with the stage 1 turbo, remap, De-cat and EGR removed. I am very happy with the results. Love the way the car now pulls harder way past 3500 rpm, where before it seemed to drop off a little, and to top it off i get better fuel economy and it feels a lot smoother to drive. Highly recommend the guys at shark!
