Hi all , had some problems with central locking recently , consistantly unlocking its self, even when driving and parked up . so but it into my local garage , they plugged her in and have come back to me saying i need a new comfort control unit and that its guna cost me £210 plus VAT, well as you can imagine i was i bit shocked, any body help me out with a part number or know where i can find a cheap one, was planning on ebay or somewhere similar, any help ?????????????

I would like to help you, but there are over 30 options for that control unit in the parts program, the best way is to locate the part on the car and get the number off the label, there seems to be plenty on e bay but you do need the right part number.

You will also need vcds to code it.

Check the door loom wiring first as it corrodes in the multi plug, not sure but maybe a faulty door micro switch can cause the same symptoms?

You need to get the part number off the one you have then find one the same m8
