Another Bulb Post (sorry)

Featured Replies

OK, one of my dipped headlights have gone and I'm considering a bulb upgrade (not your standard cheap halfrauds bulb anyways), I've seen lots of bulb posts but none of them seem to fit my circumstances.

Basically I don't want HID's and rally bulbs (and the like) are out of the question because they are not road legal, I also don't really want blue bulbs or blue light. I just want maximum brightness white bulbs with a white light that is a straight swap for existing bulbs.

Also can someone please confirm the type of bulbs needed for the sidelight, dipped beam and main beam and can anyone give any recommendations for each please, bearing in mind the above?

Many thanks...

Another vote for night breakers. Legal, great visability and road pattern.

recently changed to nightbreakers on the main beam

defo +1 to them

the philips xtreme vision 100% are quality as well

+1 for Philips

Powerbulbs are really good too, good prices and quick delivery!

(I think you still get some uprated sidelight bulbs free too when you buy headlight bulbs)

Another +1 for Philips extremes, seems that Powerbulbs use an off-shore company to handle things, and my last order came with ordinary sidelight bulbs, not as issue as I've still got many spare "blue" ones lying around - have never got round to fitting them!

Just a comment, so that let that change your mind about using Powerbulbs, I've been using them for about 10 years, mainly due to these "brighter" bulbs do tend to last only 2.5 years - but with their extra light output, that is a small price to pay!

Since when the bulbs at halfrauds are cheap :S lol

+1 for Nightbreaker
