Michelin ps3's on all corners

Featured Replies

Just changed from the conti's after 14500m to the michelins. What a tranfornation, the car feels smoother and is quieter, plus already the fuel consumption is showing improvements. I've heard I should get between 25 and 30k out of them aswell.

Ats at Peterborough did a great job, gave me 25% off plus a £40 fuel voucher.

Happy all the way.

Will be interesting to see if the improved mileage actually happens as these are what I am considering next time (Conti's have covered about 11K to date - I forgot to measure them when I fitted the winters tho' )

Martin,

I would seriously consider GY Eagle F1 Assymetric 2. They are cheaper at the moment on Black Circles (well they were last week) than PS3 they have won all the recent tests and have a better rolling resistance than PS3.

I had PS3 on my last vRS and they were very good. But in the same test were the GY finished top the PS3 finished 6th iirc. They are also a lot quieter.

I got 4 x 225/40/18 for £540 fitted.

I can't give any decent feedback on the Assym 2's yet as they were only fitted on saturday and i drove all of 2 miles in them. The car is now in a bodyshop being repaired after some dozy wench reversed into it! But the 2 miles i drove they were fooooking awesome!!

Cheers Carl I will bear them in mind, I think mine will probably last until late next year (as I have my winters on now) So by then we will hopefully have some reviews on how they have both performed and are wearing.

They will wear slightly quicker than PS3.

PS3 has a treadwear of 320 whereas Assy 2's have 300. However due to the lower RR it may balance out.

Sorry, I should have mentioned how much I paid, they cost £572 from ats plus I get the £40 fuel voucher back.
