Miles per gallon OR Smiles per gallon

Featured Replies

Lots of comments about MPG, what about Smiles per gallon. Surely a bit more right foot is good?

Agreed

When i get my TDI 130 down to 17mpg around the ring or uk tracks i do smile more than when i get 60 mpg on the way home but my smile comes back again when i eventually visit the filling station.

I like the sound of that!! To get 17mpg you must be using plenty of right foot!!

I averaged 9mpg during 30 laps of the Nurburgring in my then Focus ST (tuned to 270hp)

Also partly why I have gone back to a petrol, 1.8TSi Superb, from diesel VRSemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Again stories of more smiles, 9mpg sounds like much good use of the right foot, and at the ring very legal. Everybody has got to smile about that:))))
