New Furby vRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

Finally got my '05 vRS today! Really pleased with everything, performance, interior, exterior! It's fantastic, really glad I bought it! :D

I originally ordered Black Magic and ESP and when I got in the car I had a pleasant surprise..........an airbag deactivate switch!

After giving the dealer some stick because of the late delivery he claimed he had put the order on priority and found one with ESP and airbag switch. So I got an optional extra for free! :D How considerate of them!

Nice one mate.

I've been spending a fair bit of time driving SWMBO's and loving it. Mine will be ready later this week - I can't wait.

I'm starting to loath driving the Scooby - Who'd ever of thought that!!

I honestly cant imagine how anyone could hate driving a Scooby... but hey I've never had one...

It's handling is superb but there is nothing sedate about it. You have to be in the top of the rev range to get anything out of it. It is so laggy low down, it's easy to be left standing or fumbling for a lower gear.

I'm fed up with coppers following me or breaking their necks to see who's driving when you go past.

Probably just me getting old.

Oddly, my brother's black magic vRS came with a 'free' airbag deactivation switch.

Reckon there's been a bulk order that fell through???

I thought it was a standard feature now along with the third three point rear seat belt.

Really? Which Scooby have you got?! I had a 98 turbo and that wasn't laggy at all and definitely didn't need to be at the top of the rev range to get it going! It was lightly fettled though ;) Also drove my mates Jap import with even shorter gearing

Bizarrely, I didn't get any bother from the coppers - my main problem was the chav's in their Nova's and Saxo's trying to get me to race them through towns. Lovely car, just shame about the image now.... oh and the running costs ;)

I know what you mean Stu! Once I had made the (emotional!) decision to get rid of the Scooby I really didn't want to waste any more money driving it. I worked out the other night that with finance, insurance, road tax and fuel I paid out a MINIMUM of

I've got a 52 plate WRX. It's just not got any pull unless the revs are up - very disapointing.

I lost over 10k from new in 2 years plus the huge running costs.

I took it out today, put
