Importing telephone address book

Featured Replies

Hi - I have an Amundsen radio/sat nav in my Yeti and I have successfully linked my phone to it and can make and receive calls via Bluetooth. What I do not seem to be able to do is import my phone's address book. I can find the import command and can tell it to import but nothing seems to happen. My phone is a Sony Ericsson Xperia. Does anyone have any ideas how to make this work or what I am doing wrong? The leaflet (I refuse to call it a user manual) that came with the system has no details on how to do any of this at all so I am largely going via trial and error. :(

Have just read the dilemna and from checking our compatibility list the Xperia range will not enable bluetooth to 'sync' with the contact list. All other options should work by unfortunately not the phone book.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Any chance of posting the compatibility list on the forum?

Does same list apply to Amundsen and Columbus?

It used to be part of the radio manuals you can find on the Å koda website... and has always been woefully, woefully out of date. It is really of no use to be honest for what is currently on the market alas.

You can find the list here:

https://mediaportal....mpatibility.pdf

So for example the Apple iPhone list goes up to the iPhone 3GS............ which has been replaced by the iPhone 4 in June 2010 and now the iPhone 4S a few months ago. So an utterly, utterly out of date list.

I shall try to get a list posted on here ASAP.

Thanks for the feedback - I don't tend to make calls FROM the car so it is not a big problem for me. It is odd that I can access the call log for recent calls though - perhaps it is the format of the address book that is the problem.

Have just tried to attach PDF file for bluetooth compatibility but it won't let me.

Any ideas?

You need to be a paying Freedom member to do that. I posted the list already as a PDF link in post #5. Unless your list is more up to date?

If Preston Motors becomes a sponsor they will possibly be allowed to upload stuff.

Need to pm ColinD the site owner to find out more.
