Columbus dead

Featured Replies

On Friday evening my Columbus unit completely died. One moment it was fine the next, nothing. The screen is dead, there is no sound, I cannot hear the HDD working. I've tried leaving it, the reset and pulling the fuse but to no avail. Looks like a trip to the dealer but I doubt it will be fixed before the Christmas track to relatives.

Hopefully Arbury in Leamington Spa can help you. They were absolutely fantastic when my ECU died. I work in Warwick but live in West Wales and they so impressed me they service my car now when I am up there. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Rob in Service Reception is very helpful :)

Finally resolved, had to have the Columbus unit replaced under warranty.

However, now I notice that not all of the steering wheel controls work e.g. Forwards and backwards track select arrows. also when I go into the computer menu on the dash pod, I only have MFD, Phone, Status and Setup menus so I have lost Music and Navigation menus. Any ideas?

Probably dealer stupidity, maybe they missed out some of the coding?
