S3 Seats help

The Recaro seats fitted to a S3 unbolt from the subframes

The subframes will however not fit a Fabia so you will need replacements - be warned Recaro subframes are NOT cheap!

As for them being electric it is only the height adjustment that is electric so you can either run a suitably heavy duty loom to them (fused of course) or adjust them to the position you want with a temporary power feed.

The seats i had in my S3 were electric for everything other than moving them back and forward on the rails. ie. height adjustment, seat back tilt and lumbar support was all electric. Maybe some are different?

If it was me, i'd want them all working properly! No point in fitting them if you can't adjust them!

Oh and don't break the switches, one of those cost me £200 to replace :o

You will NEVER get your vRS seats as comfortable as a Recaro no matter what you do to them or cover them with!

Just budget around £250 for a pair of subframes (the good part is you can recoup some of this back by selling the S3 subframes)
