Heated seat not working

Featured Replies

When I first bought the car a month ago the drivers heated seat worked fine, but after a few days of having it the heated seat on the drivers side no longer worked. I have checked the connection under the seat (green and red plugs) and everything is fitted correctly and in place properly.

I know the chances are the element has died but I really want it to be something else as, from what I hear, it's an absolute pain to replace...

Any help appreciated

Daft one, have you checked the fuse?

Yep, fuse checked and it's fine. :(

:( doh

Switch issue?

if the fuse is ok, then the usual cause of failure is the element in the seat itself burning out rather than the wiring or switch.

I've read of the wires to the heating element fracturing "in" the seat. i.e. Underneath the seat covers. There was a thread showing this plus a repair...

Most pics seem to have flown....
