Hey Guys

Having problems with my polo again...

Took it to the garage to have the sump replaced, they did that got it back throwing up a low oil pressure light, took it back to them they say they've checked the sensor and it's probably a dodgy sensor.

Wasn't getting the right MPG so I'm skeptical that it's a sensor, they still won't take it back.

I dropped the sump, oil pick up pipe is full of silicone, took that back to them they say its old silicone and nothing to do with them.

I build it all back up with a new pickup pipe, use a small amount of silicone so not to cause the same problem.

Still throwing up oil pressure light, however I forgot to tighten sump plug, loose that, drop oil drive 20 miles with no oil.

Car cuts out, get recovered, new sump plug, new oil.

Now it's running really rough, only getting about 25mpg and throwing up oil pressure light here there and everywhere.

Doesn't boost as much as it should gets really flat about half way through the rev range.....

Ideas? or am I looking at a new turbo and new engine?

Engine will be FUBAR driving for 20 miles with no oil.

Im suprised it made 20 miles with no oil!!!

Ouch... think you've broken it.

20 miles is a long time with no oil!

Phil

Sorry but the engine and turbo are dead, you've killed it.

The silicone in the pickup pipe is terrible though, you should name and shame that garage but you have no recourse I'm afraid.
