Vodafone iPhone Contract!

Featured Replies

So I've had my iPhone 4 16gb for 18months now and my contract has expired! I phone up Vodafone and tell them I want to leave my contract not really knowing whether to get another iPhone contract or go for a sim only plan.

An hour or two later a guy phones from Vodafone asking why I'm leaving so I tell him. He then offers me 600 minutes, Unlimited Texts, 1GB Data and 100 free picture messages SIM Only package for £10 a month!!!!! It's a 12 month contract so if an iPhone 5 comes out before my 12 month contract ends then it won't cost much to buy out of either!!!

I can't belive what a great deal I've got just because I said I was leaving! :-)

I remember agreeing on the phone with vodafone to a 12 month contract.

I wonder why they thought that amending it to '18 months' on the paperwork wouldn't be noticed though!

I got the same deal from O2, exempt I'm paying £10.50 a month and NO buy out :)

The iPhone 5 is due (hopefully) sometime in March.

If anyone is interested, send me a PM with your email address and I'll forward on any related RSS news thread I receive.

I've checked all the paperwork and it's all replicated what he said on the phone. How is the iPhone 5 due so soon if the 4s has only been out for two and a bit months? :S

Because the 4S isn't much of a change to the standard 4. Think of it as a facelift to keep interest in the model before the proper new one is released.

Nowadays its like you have to equate most contracts to £10 a month for the service and the rest of the money pays for the handset.

It's why I went giffgaff. Less minutes but more data and can drop to reasonable PAYG at any time.

Will buy a new phone when I need one not just because I need a new contract.

Reading between the Apples lines, they were going to release the 5 but had some technical/supply problems and 'cobbled' together the 4S to launch to keep the wheels moving.

The iPad 3 is due in March(ish) and the iPhone 5 is surely to follow soon after that. emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Which is why so many folk are now going SIM free. Much much cheaper.
