Hi all,

As I am a new member, just an update on my company octavia vrs tdi cr estate. This car does a lot of work 1000 + miles a week, 58 plate now done 95k. Had new turbo, new air con unit, new throttle control body, back 4 times to dealer with related dpf problems, several calls to skoda customer services uk [generally helpful] + usual cambelt + wear and tear parts tyres brakes etc and services, which all in all adds up to a huge amount of money. This car spends 80% of its life on the motorways of England Ireland Scotland and Wales and makes a mockery of the factory/dealer line that dpf problems happen to cars with short stop start work!. Also now told that the second turbo is now on its way out after less than a year of fitment at dealer, and following another call to Skoda UK advised that it has to be paid for in full as the part warranty ran out with car warranty 6 months ago! However, after a trip to Shark Performance the dpf is now removed and car remapped to stage 1, which has transformed it from a strangled, wheezy also ran into the smooth running, linear perfomance car that it should,ve been from day 1. (many thanks to Ben and team for patience and trouble they went to.) Moral of story if buying a modern turbo diesel please please check before buying if it has dpf fitted. Think carefully before proceeding with sale!if so .

18months and 23k, no problems whatsoever.... B)
