Hi guys,

I bought a Turbo Dynamics stage 2 150 turbo off my mate - he made an EGR blanking plate and put it on the turbo itself (the EGR port on the manifold?) but he said today that the EGR might need to be blanked off 'on the other side' but he couldnt remember. What does this mean? Does he mean on the top of the engine where the actual EGR is?

Im a bit confused now as I was lead to believe they were a straight swap? If I took this custom made blanking plate off and used an Allard EGR delete pipe would this be better and achieve the same? Or does the EGR need blanked off in 2 places?

Keep the blanking plate on the exhaust manifold and use the Allard EGR delete pipe.

However if you want to keep the EGR and/or shut off valve, just reconnect the EGR valve back to the exhaust manifold but remove the blanking plate from the manifold first.

If you remove the EGR altogether it will throw a fault code up in the ECU - which can be mapped out on ASV engines.

Also, what gaskets do i need? Exhaust gasket and mani to head? Anyone have a part number as i've been told when trying to get them that they differ from the 130's and 150's?

You can use the pipe that already connects to the EGR pipe, but you have to remove the metal collar.

You would need to blank off the EGR too.
