Hello from Gloucestershire

Featured Replies

Hello Chaps,

Just joined the forum as eldest daughter is after her first set of wheels and after I steered her away from a couple of Ford KAs she had her eye on she took a decided interest in a 1.4 Fabia.

Anyway, I'll be perusing the forum for info and possibly asking some stupid questions =)

Cheers

Thanks for replies all.

Yes my daughter is cute, petite and blonde - don't get too excited though as her boyfriend is 6'4" and trained to kill people, it's a good job I get on with him as I might put my back out if I had to throw him out of the house.

Back on topic: yep I'm looking for a Mk1 1.4 and ideally with useful features such as ABS, electric windows & mirrors, aircon and ideally traction control - so I imagine we're probably looking mostly at 16V Comfort or Elegance spec. Not too worried about mileage if history is decent and looking to spend £1500-£2000.

Cheers

PS just to make life difficult she has of course decided that the car can only be Silver or White.

That was probably the best reply I have had so far on here. Brilliant.

In short, there are a fair few around. I have seen one up for sale on here however it's black but only on 92,000 miles and up for £1,000. See here: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/208653-2001-fabia-elegance-14-16v-1000-92k-miles/page__pid__2472663#entry2472663

I'm unsure if that's any use to you and he does live a fair few miles away - Could be worth sending him a PM.

Yep I saw that one and tried persuading the daughter that it was a bargain and black was a good colour for a Fabia but to no avail - Silver or White is the colour she wants and she plans on adding pink fluffy dice, pink seat covers etc once we've got the car.

No accounting for taste...lol

Black works with pink though, check out my other halfs car ;)
