This fell off Fabia 1.4MPI

Featured Replies

Hi guys, The link shows what I think is a heat shield from my Fabia 1.4MPI. Fell off yesterday in the Lakes, today I have been out in the pouring rain trying

to find where it came from. Had the car on ramps and looked all along exhaust system, no joy. It has clearly broken off at either end but from what I cant find.

Thought I would ask here before I have to take day off work to see the dealer.

Cheers Jim

Thanks Fabdavrav, so would the shield be part of the cat or fixed to the body? did not see any broken edges on cat or body.

Will it matter if it is left off?

Jim

It is welded to the cat....the side facing the road surface........it protects against big stones etc bashing the cat as the inside is a ceramic filter!... B)

mine came off my megan and never had a problem in the 3 years i had it after
