seat surgeons info

Featured Replies

ok im in discussion with seat surgeons just now to get my seat done. my issue is, i have been reading on here that members got it done for £785 (ish) this was including vat,

£785 for Brisky Members.

The leather trim is £780 if you quote me or Briskoda. Some pictures are available in the Gallery on my website.

i understand these quotes above are dated, but its more the next bit.

now the issue is he said the price is £780 + vat which is £912 and says hes 'never done' a vrs for below this price?

I had the same issue dude, he said the prices have gone up due to price of leather over in china going up. But 912 quid is still the cheapest I cud find and the quality of the workmanship is very good.

I Can understand why your surprised, the difference in price is massive!

£780 and £785 in 2005 and 2006? that's quite a while ago I'm not supprised its gone up most things have.

I think they got a bit up tight after someone on here was relaying all the emails saying they would do discount for cash etc, not the kinda thing you want splashed all over the net.

I`d also expect a price rise over 5-7 YEARS, in fact, an increase of £100 give or take is pretty good imo over that time. As it stands, for the money they are still top banana. Just think if its worth the money to you, if not dont bother, or find another place. I`m sure there are other trimmers about.

What is the difference for just retrieving the "white bits" in lesser to make a half leather set?

Matt- I know I copied and pasted the emails but I genuiley wanted to know how people got it so cheap and other people wanted to know it too. Regardless of the price of 912 quid inc vat I still think that's very good value for a very good job!

Wasn't me! I always declare what and how I paid when asked though, nothing wrong with that. I've never put up any emails Seat Surgeons sent me.

Edit, just noticed my earlier post in which I stated the price has been deleted.

Why? Moderators, surely stating a price you paid is not agianst forum rules?

For the second time... I paid £760 in cash in December 2010

Nope, nothing wrong with that, and there's nothing wrong with the Seat Surgeons giving a correctly documented cash discount if they wish to. But when someone starts making untrue allegations that they're taking cash in order to evade certain "business fees" then that could land them in very hot water :)
