I took the battery out. Not much of an inconvenience really, only takes two minutes!

Try using some long nosed pliers to remove it, that's what I used the last time I changed mine.

i fully fitted my hid kit without moving the battery or anything . . .you must have shovel hands man. .

Get your wife or girlfriend to do it

On my 2005 Fabia VRS as follows.

I found just removing the battery cowling nearest the rear of the lights gave me enough room to sort out bulb replacements.

As you look at your car use your left hand for the right cluster and your right hand for the left cluster. Its seems simple and obv but I was trying change mine for ages without moving anything because I was sure i didnt have to remove anything... my mate walks up 2 secs and the job is done... he used his left hand which i didnt think to do i was trying with my right lol.

Not seen under the bonnet of a vrs, but the gap on the mpi is tight enough to make putting my hand down there a squeeze. Do the driver's side first so you know exactly what you need to move and how.

had another look at my bulbs today i didn't need to remove battery. I removed the top cover and then realised there was another cover on the front of the battery, so after removing that my shovel hands managed to squeeze in haha
