That will be the leaving home function, unless you have maxidot you will need someone with VCDS or a dealer to disable the function, with Maxidot I think its listed under convenience.

leave the switch position on "OFF". that will prevent the auto lights, including CH/LH function from activating.

if u leave it on "AUTO" - they will activate.

if u want it permenantly off, then use VCDS or disable via maxidot:-

Just wondering... what's "Travel mode" shown in the picture? I don't recall seeing that on my maxidot display (nor "Dayl. dri. light" but I know that's not been enabled)

May be wrong, but I believe it's for changing the light pattern when you drive on the continent.

Guess it's not an option on mine then.

And you only have that on cars with Xenon headlights, those with standard lights do not have the travel function!

Right oh, didn't know that, that explains why it's not an option on mine as I only have the standard lights.

All 'Travel Mode' does is flatten the headlight beam so that you do not dazzle oncoming drivers when driving on the right.

On non-xenon / Maxidot equipped Octavia's this can still be done but you have to manually slide a lever on the back of each headlight.
