Having read your post about the condition of the car. First off you have done well to get 126k out of the kkk turbo. Second cambelt waterpump has been done, the turbo is getting done. The only other big bill I can see in the future is the clutch needing doing. Get the turbo done and you have done 2 of the 3 major jobs that can go wrong .

I thought 126k sounded quite a lot but there were no details in the history of it being replaced before so i guess it hasnt been.Yeh i'm hoping that after this i can at least have a bit of trouble free motoring. I don't think the clutch will hold out much longer but like you say, after that is done there shouldnt be any major jobs for a while.

like i say get the turbo done and then if you still set on selling. you can sell the car for a good price but if you do sell you could then buy into someone elses problems with another car.

Selling it is one thing, but selling it broken?! You`d be mad, for the sake of a couple of hundred quid to get it running again seems a bit OTT. If your set on selling, you could get a use turbo fitted for less than £200. I`m sure the car will be worth far far less if it isnt running.

Sorry to hear about your turbo failing :'(

but +1 to what this guy says

definitely don't sell with a blown turbo.. With a new turbo fitted and running well you could command some good money for it.. PD150 upgrade time?

Yeh new turbo about to be ordered and fitted next week hopefully. I was thinking about an upgrade but decided to be an old fart and keep it standard.

Has anyone used Turbo Dynamics before? Just seen they are selling a new garrett unit for £465.

Not personally but only ever heard good things, they are highly regarded!

my mate ordered a turbo for his car off there and all was good.

For that price I wouldn't moan, how much is a replacement PD130 turbo?

Great, thanks. That is for a replacement PD130.

ohh, I thought you meant for a bit of an uprated unit.. Still, not bad. Probably going to be miles better to drive than before just make sure all of the system gets checked and cleaned.. And change the oil regularly for the first few months after the turbo gets changed to flush it

Yeh i figured its probably best if i'm going to keep it to just get a brand new standard unit. Hopefully it makes a world of difference. Will do, thanks for your help.
