I have another little niggle on my 03 Octavia sdi, I need another gear lever gaiter and plastic surround, but I can't see how to get the gear knob off..... under the gaiter it looks to have a small stainless ring clamp?? I don't know what this does?

You need to remove the metal ring clamp and then the Knob will simply pull off. Job Done

Hi Ken,

No its not re-usable, you either need a new one, use wire or a tie wrap.
