Clear message MFD

Featured Replies

Hi, my TSi Estate has a service needed message. I got the car as a demonstrator with 1,500klm on the clock and 9 months old. At 12 months i put the car in for the 15,000klm service even though the car had only 7,500ks on the clock. It has now reached the 15,000klm mark and the “Service Needed†message has appeared on the MFD (multi-function display). I have checked the oil to see if had suffered with the Aussie summer but it is still good.

So how do I clear this message? I could take it back to the dealer but in Oz we have roads that are referred to as moving parking lots and the trip is hours long. It has to be serious to travel into Brisbane, and this is not that serious.

if your car is on a fixed service regime then the instructions are in the owners handbook, otherwise it needs to be a dealer or someone with VCDS since following the owners manual instructions in this case will switch the car to fixed servicing.
