Anybody have any ideas? I have an octavia 1 110 TDI (300,000mls) which intermittently loses the rev,speed temp and fuel gauge signals. Can last all day or flick off and on. Obviously not a fuse so I suspect a relay but manual doesn't seem to show one supplying these senders. Rest of instrument cluster ie odometer, fuel computer warning lights all work as normal.

Well known problem. It's caused by corrosion or dry solder joints on the 2 voltage regulators on the dash. I can't remember whether it's fuse 5 or 15 that can be pulled which will get the dash working again. but the trip will zero each time you start the car.

There's a how to fix this problem on the forum somewhere so do a bit of searching.
