Hi,

ive got 2 issues which ive found on my drive back home, the temperature needle is all over the place jumping between 50 and 90,i think its the temp sensor,anybody got the part number for it?

Also, and this is mega annoying, the wipers are switched off yet they are constantly coming on,sometimes slow and sometimes extremely fast all by themselves!!! Where do i even start looking,

Oh and i borrowed a friends cheap diagnostic tool off ebay, and it came up with 00280 which ive found has something to do with the ABS system,cleared it and hasnt come back on,the engine light was on also but that went off aswell,hope its not anything to worry about...

Any help would be appreciated

Not sure on the temp, but the windscreen wiper sounds like its on auto. If you want that feature off bring the stalk down a notch to off

no its definitely off, ive driven it this morning and the temperature needle is still fluctuating but the wipers are behaving but im scared to use them

And do i need to the temp sensor,the temp sender (or is that the same thing?) and should i change the thermostat while im at it or is that in a different location?

right, James (therevrendjr) has been Awesome, hooked up Vagcom and only one error code which was the coolant temp sensor,also needed a full service,i havethe car booked in for a full service and a change over for the coolant temp sensor next friday, will keep you updated!

Oh and the wipers,apparently,evben in the OFF position, they are still auto sensing,gonna see if i can get that amazing free feature switched off (grrr....)
