I thought I'd pick your lot brains on this one. My neighbour has just bought a silver 53 vrs! He has had a few problems with it and ain't had much luck!

1st of all his turbo passed way! So got a second hand one, got it fitted and all good.

Now he has a separate issue with his electric windows. They work some times and some times they don't! Well when he showed it to me yesterday they were working. But when he came round this morning the stopped working......

Can any one help me on this one please as it works some times and doesnt work sometimes.

Any help would be appreciated

Without a code scan difficult to say. Pull clean and refit fuse. Door switches for windows faulty. Convenience unit faulty or poor connection.

After the Oswestry Skoda dealer needlessly replaced the window motor to "cure" this, and I found it still faulty as I drove off, I discovered the problem was a dirty/loose fuse. I cleaned the fuse but decided to replace it - the replacement was a little thicker - and it was fine subsequently - the garage was forced to do a full refund!

Open drivers door and prise off the cover from the RH side of the dash panel. Fuses and location card are in there.
