Hi guys! From West Midlands...

Currently own a 2004 Volvo S60R and a 1999 VW Polo project:

Hoping to get rid of the Volvo and buy a mk1 Octavia VRS in the next few months.

I recognise that car, are you on vpcuk? I signed there when looking at getting a vovlo but then realised I couldn't really justify the running costs for the small power increase

I am indeed mate.

I spoke to you on there, I offered to take you for a spin in mine

Stick with the Octavia mate, much more reliable I imagine. I'll have to meet up with you when I hopefully buy one, as i'll plenty of pointers and advice lol.

VPCUK is a great site tbf, will probs stay on there even when I get rid of the Volvo

...and 850 T5, awesome car, my pal had an estate auto T5, what a car!

Hello everyone I decided to update my 2014 Skoda Octavia to a newer age. First changed the MIB1 to MIB2, and then decided to add a rear view camera (there are other projects on the way like MFK1 to MFK2). I want to tell the story so someone else does not make the same mistakes I did. My Skoda never had a camera, so I bought one from a scrapyard, a 3V0827566N without the wiring harness, it scrapped with the body. But since I had no wiring I needed a harness, contacted Skoda Parts, got no concre

Prepping to do 2.0TSi clutch in future - plenty of time and opportunity as I mentioned recently I have a 1.8T L&K Octy also ! I'd seen a comment at some point someone recommending to change rear main seal whilst you are in there. Something to watch for? Also as below

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse
