vRS goes on 20th Jan

Featured Replies

Well after 2 years and a hard 45000 miles from brand new it's time to say bye to the Octy vRS.

In the time I've had it I have only had to book into garage once(apart from service) for a hole in the radiator which was covered on warranty.

DM Keith Leeds always excellent service and courtesy car provided when asked etc

I've had many new cars over the last 5 years, a 59 plate Audi A4 SE avant.....zzzzzzzz

Boring to drive, look at etc

An Astra 1.9 CDTI 150 3 door XP liked a lot just not big enough

2x Vectra SRI CDTI 150

Then the vRS.

I thought about an insignia or Exeo next but I've got to say after my experience of skoda, new car is( due end of Feb)

is a candy white vRS hatch CR DSG with alcantara heated seats.😄

In every way Skoda has been the best all round car I've had and could not recommend it any higher.

So basically what I'm saying is if your in the market for a fast reliable comfortable car that can carry a huge amount of stuff, look no further, your in the right place!

Sorry, just edited.

It will be second Octy.

Good man Taff thats as strong an endorsement as I have ever seen on here glad you have found the right car and not been blinded by any badge snobbery like some people out there

Just out of interest, why are you getting rid after 2 years? Surely if it's still brilliant, there's no need to sell?

I agree with what's been said here, I'm on my third vrs in 5 years but in the quest for more power my next car will be 4wd as I struggle getting the power down in low gears.

I lease them through my business.

Lease is up so off it goes and I get a nice shiney new one!

3 years this time, £278 plus VAT a month.

I'm actually paying £319 plus VAT at the minute so I've got a new car for less money!😄

20,000 miles per year and 6p excess mileage charge.

From DM Keith.

Love the Candy white Vrs, great choice!

Looks like the mighty 3.6 superb elegance 4x4 Combi for you then!

Agree about keeping the power down but most front wheel drive with a bit of oomph suffer, especially in damp or wet conditions.

Now for me the perfect choice would be a 4x4 CR vRS, I doubt they'll do that as it would upset Audi too much because of lost sales on their s-line A3/A4 quattros.

Good to read a positive spin - there have been a load of Skoda bashing threads recently!

Good news Taff, I'm sure you'll love the new one just as much
