Badge from alloy wheel - replacement?

Featured Replies

Some annoying little vandal has pried off one of the Skoda badges from the centre of one of my Alloys!

Anybody know where I can get another one to replace it, it looks awful without, and I don't want to buy a whole new set of alloys for the sake of a badge!

Bit radical I know but you ever thought of going to a Skoda dealer to buy one???

If you measure one of yours I may have a spare set you can have. I bought 3 sets on eBay and none of them were right.

So long as you don't have a VRS I probably have one that'll fit :)

Thanks, I'll have a look.

The local dealer is awful and would probably try and charge me god knows what - that said I do know the local audi/VW/skoda whole-saler and supplier quite well, which tends to be where the dealer get their parts anyway,.

I had to get one from the dealer. £8 plus v.a.t.

Don't buy any off eBay unless genuine skoda. I bought a set of "oem" replacement centre caps. They arrived and didn't fit and were very poor quality! I and ended up going to the dealer, after a refund of eBay.

There is only one size for all genuine skoda alloy wheels. I went into the dealer and asked which size I needed? The parts manager said there is only one size for all. The dealer ones are very good quality and worth the money. They are £8 each. I put 3 new ones on my superb and one on my wifes fabia.

Gianthotdog, sorry but what the dealer told you is wrong. There are a few different sizes that skoda use. The Yeti has its own specific size as do the VRS models of the fabia and Octavia. Although I think your 'normal' Fabia, roomster, Octavia and superb all use the same size.

As you say though, loads of knock offs splashing around eBay

some of the ones on ebay aren't the same contoured surface. some are curves, some are flat on the edge and only curved in the centre

the dealer might be wrong but at least when you walk out into the car park and push the centre cap on and it doesn't fit you can walk straight back in and sort it out?

The moral of the story is "you get what you pay for". It's very hard to accurately measure the centre cap hole. 56mm looks like 58mm and with one eye shut could be 60mm, especially due to the awkward nature of the hole.

Anyone with any idea when the new logo badges will be available?

I think it will be available after May or something???
