Featured Replies

We had an awesome weekend but feeling the tiredness now though!

Especially enjoyed the road from Lynmouth back to Minehead, the straight cuts in the "Brisk Rover" were singing away beautifully :D

  • Got a quarter of a tank in the mongrel. Will probably get me around the whole weekend.....

  • People who are unsure about booking a caravan, take a peek at the following videos of the sorts of strange things we have gotten upto in previous trips.

  • Whats better is I gave up alcohol until the end of March. And the saturday night is "the end of March"

Got home a couple of hours ago, knackered! Good to see the guys I knew and nice ti meet the rest (sorry I'm not sure which screen name relates to which person haha)

Well that was my first meet for a good few yeats, will try to get back on track and do a few a year again like I used to!

I double handed right to the max.

Way too much information Jason!!! LOL!!

Bllluuee!

Way too much information Jason!!! LOL!!

I could have phrased it better.

Have just reviewed the bit of the trip from Lynton to Simonsbath. I do NOT think it will be going on to Youtube. ;)

Shame I couldn't get to this but had issues with the Mother in law being involved

in an accident with a parked car on Saturday which has damaged the whole length nearside of the SDI :o

She's insured on my policy so I had to be available for phone calls etc.

I will make it to the next one, I'm gutted I couldn't get to this as I was all set to leave when the Mother in law rang.

I could have phrased it better.

Dare i say the footage contained evidence of a spirited drive?

Yes, with plenty of (safe) use of the opposite side of the road too. ;)

If only I'd recorded mine... I almost got 40mpg I rekon :/

Average 74mpg for me for the trip. Oohh yeah! Haha!

Took it easy due to the price of brimming it in the first place lol!

I went home the windy route down south after.... but weirdly the car still shows 1/4 tank left after putting in only £35 worth to see me through the weekend (230 miles done!) Well odd.

i haven't checked my MPG for the journey home on the Saturday night as i don't think i was driving as economically as possible since i got home in just over an hour and a half

Awesome weekend with a bunch of awesome people! However sadly I am no longer a Skoda owner as of yesterday :( but will still come along to the next, cause if Colin is allowed in, anyone is ;)

have we got any pics to upload of the weekend?

Had a great weekend thanks to Will for the organising, thanks also to John, Diane, Dave and Ash for letting us all gather in the bungalow in the evenings.

Me and Nicola, along with Colin and Jayneyyy, Simon, Pete and misses(sorry can't remember her name), enjoyed our Economy run on the Sunday afternoon

Was playing Chess with Loz on Sunday night was going well until Gilly decided to throw Red Wine Everywhere, can't imagine what got him so upset :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

Nice to put more faces to names, should see most of you at the next one :hi:

Of the ones i took they were utter garbage, so deleted them, need to have a practice at taking pictures :(

I don't think gilly liked us talking about them horses prawns and castles.:)

Me n Leanne really enjoyed the eco run, like you told us it got very blue in the car. Ended the day with 25mpg.

Eco drive did my car the world of good, got 57.2mpg for the 609 mile round trip :)

He sure didn't like us calling them that!! His face was a picture

Looking forward to the next get together, yeah

I still got about 50mpg and I was leading a bit of a quartet across the moor at a fairly brisk(oda) pace. mongrel is running better now than for some time I think,
