Fabia Mk1 Remap

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

I've had my little baby for just over six moths now. It's a 07 plate diesel, completely standard and I'm starting to think I need some more power. I want to get it remapped but I want to where to get it done and what an average power output is (please let me know both of these if u have had it done). Also how does it drive after it has been done and what the MPGs are like after. I only want to know the MPGs as I do 350 miles a week for work!! And please no bulls**t on the MPGs lol.

Dave

There's numerous people with remaps on here. If you drive hard then of course you will use more fuel. If you drive carefully then expect to see mpg stay the same or increase very slightly. Normal gains for 130 vrs's are 165-170bhp and I'm not 100% sure on torque.

There's many places you can get them- Shark, very highly regarded. P-Torque in Wolverhampton, Unit 18 and others...

I had My VRS remapped down ATspeed in Rayleigh, I got 172bhp & 283ft/lbs!!!! I drive my Hard and im currently on 40.9 MPG. :D

I'm on similar power and get similar mpg figures after my AMD remap

Standard power and I get high 20's driven hard lol. However I'm looking at a unit 18 map as I've heard there clutch friendly and very smooth.

based near Wolverhampton so close to you. He did the remapping on mine twice and the retune after going to stage 2 and knows the car well. He'll take care to protect the turbo / clutch as much as possible. I think a stage 1 remap is about £250.00 but don't quote me on that.

If you do speak to him mention Briskoda and you may get a better rate.

I still get over 40 mpg average although not so much if I hurry, but with my old map was averaging about 45mpg.

hope you go for it as a new MAP will greatly increase your driving pleasure.

Had mine done two years ago at Jabba near Peterboro. Best £200 odd quid spent on the stage one. No mpg difference, just soooo much smoother. Should have had it done before but car was in warranty then. Simply no issues related to that, two MOTs and two services and no one has a clue ! Apart from 'it go's well sir !'

Hello,

I have been looking around on the net and many companies are saying you are able to benefit from a stage 2 remap, whats the differents. a basic remap on a fabia is around 175 - 180 I saw one the other day that was a stage 2 remap at 195 bhp.

What is the difference on how they differ the stages?

A standard turbo on the fabia will cope with around 170bhp safely. For any more than this you need to uprate the turbo be it larger or stronger.

Second P-Torque.

Will is very helpful and has remapped 2 cars so far for me.

Quite simply, as you progress up the stages you have to change more and more things for that level of power. The returns decrease too so you pay more and get less per "stage".

Stage 1 is often a remap, 2 is a turbo and possibly intercooler on top, then 3 costs a fortune...

Thats sound pretty good! I think i'll be happy with 40mpg+. Has anyone had many issues with clutches going after their remap, and if so how long did your clutch last?

Had mine done at AMD, running 174bhp, 289ft/lbs torque. I now need to change the clutch but believe me you wont be disappointed in the gains from it.
