Bolero VCDS frequency changes

Featured Replies

I've just been having a look at Vagcom things and sorted the dial staging. B) I also looked at the Radio module 56 and there in byte 5 is a change of frequency response. You can change between linear, Octavia, Superb and Fabia. There is certainly a difference with the Superb setting seemingly giving an improvement in top end. (mine was standard on Octavia) The Fabia setting sounds quite flat.

I've looked but didn't see this reported before so may be of use to others. :)

Which headunit does this apply to? and why no Yeti setting?

Is it to match the headunit to the speakers or for some other reason?

I think there may be some confusion here.

This does not alter any RADIO frequencies, but the sound balance frequencies to suit the "space" it is being heard.

I know listening is all subjective but it did seem to add a touch more sparkle going to the superb setting. As for no Yeti setting it is virtually identical to Octavia cabin space wise.
