remapping skoda baby yeh! advice needed

Featured Replies

hi boys .. n girls,

ive had my 05 fabia vrs 9 months now, and i have a bad habit of upgrading my cars every year or so.. im easily bored you see:))

but i have become quite attached to this baby as its fabulously quick and cheap to insure...and also the fact that it has given me no problems over the year...

so im thinking that getting it remapped is the way to go????

any feedback, advice on fabia vrs remaps would be great .....where to go.. any other mods needed??

cheers h xxx

there are soooo many remaps available for the mark I you have loads to choose from... check out the site sponsors like shark, or posting in the mark I section, a good remap makes it much more fun, but then I'd go for a rear antiroll bar, to reduce understeer, and maybe some 312mm front brakes, as the brakes arn't that good in standard form ;)

hi

cheers for that... i was thinking of using shark as i had a read through the forum the other month.. it has been on my mind for a while:)))

my front brakes are on my to do list in the very near future, when i have a bit of spare cash... which may not be as soon as i thought as yesterday (fri 13) my car developed a major creak from the front left...noticeable badly when going over speed bumps at 20.. and then this morning i noticed a big pile of orangey liquid under my car, so now i think my rads leaking ffs!!!! not sure if these may have anything to do with each other???

when i have got these sorted i will be getting a remap.. unless something else comes up!!!

ooh before i go what are the benefits of an antiroll bar, and how much would it cost roughly??

cheers x

If my understanding is correct a RARB will prevent the back from stepping out as much and reduce body roll slightly too...

There's a RARB in classifieds at the mo for around £100...

skoda baby yeh.

I was looking at remap options and seen this topic with skoda baby yeh. I just new that was you Hellen. Take bens advice he knows more then me but any mods you need just ask him. Always nice to get more opinions on this site though. Cya when mine is mapped, will pop up to yours for a bit.

If you are going to remap...concentrate on getting air in and out as fast as possible!

Clean the intake tract up and make sure it is getting cool unturbulent air in and get the cat out of the system (or race cell in) to make sure the turbo isn't being held back!

Then you can really wind her up!! ;-)
