Have you got a JABBA RARB?

Featured Replies

A cautionary tale. This week one of my Mikalor clamps on the RARB has given up the ghost.

Most likely due to corrosion over time, having had it fitted for the best part of 4.5yrs now. From what I can see (not been on the ramps yet) the strap itself has failed rather than the bolt assembly.

I'll post some pics of the failed one once removed

Ordered a pair of replacments from JABBA today for £12 plus P+P. B)

The original clamps on mine were heavily corroded and I replaced them when I repainted the RARB.

Not at all suprised that the metal strap has had enough.

Good point though and a wise word of warning to those that had had the bar fitted for a while.

It is still (imo) the best single mod for the vRS :)

Probably not Jabba-specific though...should probably check the Whiteline on mine, not sure how long it's been on as it was on when I bought the car but I've owned it for about 10 months so it's probably done at least two winters through tons of road salt...

Whitelines dont use the straps, they use a U clamp bolt and nuts.

Ah good, mine won't fall off then :D
