New vrs! :-)

Featured Replies

So today I went and did it! Traded in my 06 furby and bought a 61 plate new vrs :-)

Very happy so far, only got 100 miles on the clock after I drove it home. Will the economy get better as the engine runs in?

34mp average seems to be its best so far.

Pictures to come tomorrow after auto glym life shine!!

good stuff ! look forward to the pics

Brilliant! Look forward to piccies. Got any extras?

MPG will improve a bit, dont expect miracles. I did Bradford to Barrow and back today, 200 miles of drivers roads where this car excels and averaged 44mpg on the Idiot On Board Computer which equates to a bit less real world.

Enjoy.

the enonomy will get better, I can average 45 easily, now (24,000 miles) and yesterday on the way to work , being careful in the ice, I got 52! lol... it often gets driven like a stabbed rat though, and then will return about 32 ;)

I live in cumbria, check out the meets sections, next for me is whitby on the 5th feb, we are doing a cumbrian run camping meet in june :)

look out for me, mine is green with white wheels, give me a flash if you see me ;)

It's colder now so will use a bit more but can already see that it's improving over 4000 miles. Can't wait for the Summer

Mine improved quite a lot after 6000 miles or so.

And oil consumption is good too.

Tony

I've only done just over 500 and i'm getting about 34mpg although on a 50 mile round trip I got 40 mpg.

Got up early this morning eager to see my new car, the frost had killed my hose pipe so looked like i had to resort to the manual effort.

Much better really for its first (proper) wash. When i bought it yesterday they gave it a quick 15 min wash but that just didn't suffice!! Im sure my idea of clean and theirs were both completely different!!

Anyway armed with my xmas present which consisted off a Auto Glym life shine pack i set to work, firstly wash off all the soap suds the garage had left on, as it looked ghastly!!

Then i set about giving my paintwork a fighting chance of surviving the elements and applied colour correction and super resin polish. now that was done it was time to lock in my efforts with Collinite High Def wax (2 coats). I washed off the wheels and dressed the tyres up nicely, polished all the glass as i waited for the coat of Auto Glym gloss paintwork sealant to dry. Once i had rubbed all that off i back to black treated the grills and all plastic parts. Cleaned up the chrome tailpipe and stood back and admired my efforts! took her for a drive to a picturesque location and snapped away!

I am more than happy with my purchase and love everything about the new car :)

I thought they stopped putting the stickers on the front wings now, mine is 3 weeks old and has no stickers.

Lovely car, same colors and wheels as mine, you made the right choice.

I'm not sure mine was registered back end of 2011. It hasn't been a demo car and I was the first person to drive it. Best thing is its got the 2012 facelift features but I I didn't pay "new" price cause I saved the vat.

Pictures to come tomorrow after auto glym life shine!!

were getting flooded with them now in cumbria, everywhere i look i see a vrs lol
