My turbo whistle has stopped ?

Featured Replies

I used to have a whistle from turbo when giving the old Furby some wellie.

Now it seems quite quiet now, without any sound from the turbo.emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Do see colourless smoke from tail-pipe (looking into my rear-view mirror), even under moderate acceleration, with no loss to power or engine oil loss.emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

Perhaps all that oil misty oily stuff has clogged-up the hole that whistled??

Good thing in a way, the wife doesn't know through sound/whistle I am pedal to the metal. LOLemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Open to all, if good or bad sign.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Found the culprit with the loss of my whistle (LOL) after making a rare visit under the bonnet.

The top inter-cooler pipe had come almost away from it's 'C' clip fitting to another pipe.

After cleaning the oil away from where it was escaping I refitted the pipe.

There was a noticeable difference in throttle response, as I earlier stated no difference to performance.

Slow decline of power must have happening so not noticeable.
