Driving with traction control off?

Featured Replies

Does anyone do it? Turned it off on the way home and didnt really notice much, other than it felt quicker from a standing start........

This is an Octy vRS btw.

EDIT - This is obviously in the wrong forum, can someon shift it please? :D

Was a good report on 5th gear tonight where they were showing the differences with traction control, abs and esp on and off whilst testing on ice lakes it was quite amasing especially with ESP, if its repeated worth a look. I always keep mine on.

Ta muchly :D

I find turning the ASR off helps for making brisk progress (should that be biskoda progress? ). Not sure why but I reckon it restricts the throttle slightly on gear changes to prevent wheel spin between gears.

does any one know of any good remapping places in the northwest thanks

what a random reply to the thread

try awesome gti or jabba up your way, or go north of the border and visit star performance :)

I'm sure it was all in my mind but on the very rare occasion I've driven with the ASR off the throttle seems a touch sharper.

I tend to leave it on though as I'm a bit lead footed :o

3 years late as well
