Yeti Eibach Pro Kit - reviews

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd add a few more comments after three weeks of eibach'd motoring.

I rang Skoda Insurance, advised them that I'd had 'Greenline type' springs fitted ;) to lower the car and improve fuel consumption; TUV approved and fitted by Skoda dealer. Quick check with underwriters and as hoped for approval was given, file noted and no extra charge.

I'm sure that fuel consumption has improved on my mainly Motorway driving by around (an unscientifically assessed) 2mpg and at speed Kevin does feel more sprightly as a result of less drag.

Ride comfort is very much as before over broken road surfaces etc. although there is slightly more pitch and bounce going over speed humps (to be expected).

The best bit is the flatter handling when pressing on with Kevin feeling more 'hunkered down'. There is a lot less roll and feeling of the weight of the body wanting to roll over; its much more car like. Tight roundabouts can now be enjoyed instead of having to be treated with a degree of consideration for the 4x4 type of vehicle. I can also use my EBC redstuff brakes to better effect as there is noticeably less dive when applied firmly.

Handling was generally tight and enjoyable before, but is now much more so. Bring on the warmer weather so that I can switch to my 18" summer wheels/tyres. ;)

Very much my experience, too, Guy!
