Looking for some advice on a fault.

Octy Elegance Estate, 2.0l TDI new June 06.

My ABS and ESP lights are coming on while driving regularly, 6 times in 2 weeks now. When I switch the ignition off then restart the engine the ESP light clears and the ABS light clears after about 3 seconds driving.

I booked into dealer for a diagnostic the first time, fearing another G201 failure, I had the unit replaced in Nov 2009, but of course the lights were clear when I got there so they said no point in doing the test.

Anyone else experineced this or know what I can do as I could never gaurantee the fault being active when I arrive at a garage.

Get someone to scan it with VCDS.

Why your dealer didn't scan it is beyond me as there will be some evidence of a fault code stored as a pending code.

My guess is probably a faulty sensor.
