performance figures octy vrs Diesel

Featured Replies

Anyone got some performance figures for me for a remapped Octy vrs estate. Diesel

Its a 2011 Hatch not going to be any real difference to estate not mine saying that! Stats below were on a sub 1 year old 170CR with a few thousand miles on it and a K&N panel filter.

215.4bhp 3937RPM 1/min (91mph) 332.0 lbft 2981RPM 1/min

Will also depend if people have gone for the DPF-delete option or not too...

Dpf? What's this?

Dreaded Diesel Particulate Filter. Can cause minor or major issues if not looked after. The last three Octy's I've had have needed a replacement exhaust pressure sensor as it's prone to failure. They need a good long warm run fairly regularly to avoid issues...although someone may be along in a bit to disagree.....

I would advise to get it removed, if your car is under warranty (mine is) then when it blocks up for good they dont replace it for you as it is classed as a filter and from a dealer they cost about £1000, mines getting booked in soon as i squeeze more horses out after it gets bypassed, at 205bhp atm and to be honest for a small diesel it goes like its sat on a wasp

Does the mean that if you are to remap a 2011 CR VRS you will take out/ dispense with the dpf?

Cr vrs? What's the cr?

Cr vrs? What's the cr?

Earlier vrs's were pd engines and later 2009's on are cr, that is, the oil burning variety!!

Cr vrs? What's the cr?

Common Rail engine.

If you get a stage 1 remap there is not major need for a DPF removal as the remapper should put a faster regen cycle on as it will be kicking out more carbon but if you wish to take it further the DPF needs to come off

Ah get ya

Not read of anyone on here with a CR having had the need to remove DPF as of yet! Was a major trend for the problems on the 2.0PD TDi's mainly. The revised location of DPF on CR closer to manifold to help it warm sooner has seen a dramatic drop in owners reporting issues here (from what I have read that is) Also a lot of people suggesting new MOT regulations this year (in UK) may cause problems with people who have removed or gutted them, but no idea on the ins and outs of that. NCT in ROI I would think will be mirroring the changes as they are EU forced.

DPF removal on a CR is a bigger job than a PD also due to its new location but I am of the same opinion as most first sign of problems its in the bin where it should have been in first place and not added to the price I paid in first place!

You don't have to remove the dpf but it releases a bit more if you d.

If you are getting your's mapped, only use Joe Power in Dublin.emoticon-0148-yes.gif
