I need to find a proper earthing point in the front (beneath stereo location, but it's not for a stereo) of an Octavia II.

There are several in the boot (two each side on an estate) and several others around the vehicle. However, I have not yet found one anywhere between the gearstick and the stereo.

I read that there was one on Fabia's somewhere in that area, but is this also true for Ocatvia's?

You could try around the door pillar as they sometimes have them there,or if there are any grommets going through the bulkhead there could be an decent earth on the other side also follow the wiring loom and they are usually adjacent. cheers - Stuart

There is an earth point just in front of the gear surround.

Unfortunately the cables I have are not going to be long enough to reach that far!

I heard there was on the Fabia, but wasn't ableto find info on the Octavia. I'll have a look when I get a chance to finish the installation off.
