Hello again!

As you can see, I used to drive a Rover (75 Estate, deisel, very nice!), then moved to an Octavia L&K DSG Estate Diesel. Had this for 4 years, then the lease ended and it went back (December 2011).

Now retired, looked at Mondeos - nice but expensive - so started looking at Skoda again. My Octy was almost 100% reliable (fuel filter air-leak in the last 2 months, nothing else) and was a lovely cruiser and load carrier. Diesel no longer appropriate (DPF issues with retirement style driving) so I'm seriously considering another Skoda.

Most likely spec: Octavia L&K Estate 1.8 TSI DSG.... just need to decide on the colour.....

Welcome back. The 1.8TSI engine is very smooth and flexible too at low revs.

Had a good look at a mates Octy Elegance with 1.8 TSi and DSG... boy it felt good to be back in a Skoda seat!

Initial visit to the dealer this afternoon to get a new brochure and let the missus see the colours - thinking about Cappucino or arctic Greaan? (Last one was Anthracite which was fine until some low-life keyed it the weekend before the lease company collected it back, fortunately they haven't charged me).
