Just purchased a 2007 octavia vrs tdi and I love it.just wanted to know if there are any issues I need to be aware of?

I know about the injectors issue and am getting it done by skoda on wednesday as it's a recall.

Is there anything else?

I was a little concerned about the wheeze of the turbo which seemed a little loud to me but after reading a few posts on here it seems normal.

Hope everyone agrees?

Anyway, any advice or knowledge would be much appreciated.

Not have mine long, had my injectors done just before Christmas and have had DPF issues since. Car went into 'limp mode' last weekend. Cost me £180 to have a forced regeneration. My issue has alot to do with how i drive the car ie i am in London and do lots of shorter journeys.

DPF is spoiling an excellent car.

I work about 15 miles from my house so always manage to run the engine to the stated standard to prevent any dpf issues.does seem like a daft system though!

Hi and welcome

I have the same model myself, I have had a few issues like clutch master cylinder failed, injector's and loom replacement, the next issue that I had was the inlet manifold was worn and leaking air (link below with photo's)

The car itself is brilliant, love the space, love the ride, love the looks (race blue), just need to sort the niggle's that the engine throw's up now and then.
