Rusty tailgate and warranty

Featured Replies

Well all done and I must say a fantastic.job Henry's Skoda done. Paint is perfect. They put on new badges, plinth, numberplate lights. And rear lights for some reason. Even clayed the whole car as it had tar spots allover it and ground in brake dust on the alloys I couldn't get rid of , all looks like new again. And interior is even spotless. Oh and they touched up the rust on the sills which wasn't covered due to previous owners off road adventures. emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Oh just noticed that there is now a rubber gasket between the plastic number plate plinth (as they call it) and the metal boot lid as the vibration from it not fitting properly is apparently what causes the boot to wear through at the edges of the plinth

BigPhil, would you be prepared to share any claim details you might have which Skoda could use to find the details of your claim on their systems? I've been into Skoda today to try and claim for my number plate corrosion (see pics here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/270181-10-yr-anti-corrosion/) but they don't beleive it qualifies as "Inside-Out" corrosion and have advised me that the only option for me is to raise the issue as a possible 'design issue' with Skoda Customer Services. I'm looking to build up a couple of cases that I could maybe use as precedents, as it's clearly not an isolated issue from the threads on this forum.

Any help would be much appreciated as Skoda clearly honoured your claim. I haven't contacted Customer Services yet, would like to have some ammunition first. :)

Thanks
