Hi, just putting my name out there as a proud new owner of a 2004 Octavia 1.9 Tdi.

Picked her up yesterday evening, was moving my work gear outa me dads jeep in Tesco car park

(that id had to borrow coz me old car died from heart palpatations . . broken timing chain cog in a petrol cordoba)

Anyway, the owner of 02 octavia pulled in beside me, and complimented me on how clean my car was,

told i had literally just bought it, and he told me some of the little niggles to watch out for,

and recommended this here forum for support.

Everything he mentioned were similar flaws/niggles that i knew the Cordy suffered from too,

water running off the boot into the car during rain, windscreen washer hoses popping joints..

Must be a standard fault list for the VW Audi group!

Anyway, thats me, thanks to Pat - if you read this you'll know who you are ;-)

I know from being on Seat forums that these are always worth joining.

Hopefully, i might be able to contribute to solving other peoples problems some day!
