Ooops, sorry if my comment has offended you any way, it was not ment intentionally.

Yes I do tend to have a laugh and a joke on here but thats me. Just for clarity, the next few lines are not a joke or banter, it's my opinion which I am entited to have (as others are) on an open forum. If I could find an unmolested WRC, in mint condition, with all the stickers on and as Skoda intended when they launched the car as a limited edition, I would buy it in a heart beat. I personally think your car looks great as a car but people in the know will think that your car has been devalued and no longer the car Skoda intended it to be, people not in the know will think, why has this guy bought a white car and the sprayed the bumpers green and wrecked it or have similar thoughts. It's just their opinions in an open forum which is what we are all doing here. So posting silly comments about jealousy and not manning up in defence of the comments are a bit pathetic. You never know who is on the other end of that keyboard, it may be Chuck Norris. :S

Your car looks great you know it and so does everyone else on here, no one can deny that. Just enjoy it.

I'm not offended buddy, and I appreciate what your saying, I have thought about painting the green bits white tbh, as I have said I'm really not that into skoda's or the wrc. I only bought it because of its condition and spec etc. it's a great car as a car

If I found a full stickered WRC I would defo not remove them even if I hate them!!

The argument is the fact it's a limited edition (very rare one too).....and that it's almost sacralige to alter it as it will de-value it from what it would be worth as a WRC edition that is original! This is why you got a bit of flak!!! But it is your car to do with as you see fit. (extreme case of this is what the rapper jay-z did to a Maybach for one of his videos..... :'( )

But this argument is on every forum....and has been around ever since car makers have done "special limited editions".

I think that if you have a limited edition or are thinking of getting one then you also have to think of the responcabilty of keeping as OEM as possiable!!or at least OEM+!!!!!

Some of the body mods that I mentioned by Milotech are seen as OEM+ as they make it look more like the WRC cars...in fact you will find the bits on some Octi' rally cars (the big wrc rear wing & the front bumber side vents)....just look at the videos on utube!!!!...... B)

True but I bought mine without stickers

Ahhhhhh.........yes there were reports of some dealers removing them/not fitting them..... to sell the cars as some people don't like them.

Maybe put it in your sig......."I did not remove the stickers....a previous owner did....and I'm not forking out the £1,000+ for a new set"............. :giggle:

ha ha ha that's a bloody good idea... They were on it when new but I think the first owner apart from skoda, bought it 2005 and removed them

I'd be very tempted too. :D

No disprespect to the OP's car though, still a nice looking beast.

Looking like I'm going to sell this soon. Its actually at the garage now having a full set of superpro purple wishbone bushes as the TT upgrade ones were getting tired.

Picked my car up from the garage and I must say the superpro bushes are a lot better than TT ones... Had my car straight on a geo session and now it drives awesome.. The front camber is set to 1deg neg and parallel toe the rear is 1 deg neg and 2mm toe in. I likely a lot feels really good and a vast improvement over the original set up.... Also had it on the rollers yesterday and made 220 bhp and 208 lb ft at 12 psi so I'm happy with that

How do I drop a picture on here? Copy and paste does not work.

My Octy Mk1 WRC still has all the decals on. I love it that way, it stands out from the crowd and is a talking point.

need to upload to photobucket then copy across

p.s add yours to the list as its not on there so thats 1 more guys that has been accounted for ;-)

Easy now Des... Easy... :giggle:

From the piccys I think it's a lovely clean example & my preference is for the original wheels but that's not to say the others don't suit.

You should worry, I drive a fun around day to day (love it by the way) and over the years have developed quite a tough skin as they really aren't everyone's cup of tea! If it floats your boat that's what counts.
