Problem VRS - intermittent power loss

Featured Replies

Hi guys,on the way to uni i got intermittent power loss, and a juddering effect. I was concerned it was going to go into limp mode, and on the motorway would not be fun. It eventually went away without no rhyme or reason.

After uni i headed home, and almost instantly from start-up i got the intermittent power loss. I continued to see if it would go away like it did before. Then the exhaust system (warning flashing light thing) started flashing, which i thought wouldn't be good news, yet i contuinued, at average speed. It did not go into limp mode, and went away with the problem.

I am wondering what is the issue? and do you think i should get it looked at even though it goes away after a short while?

I only had a momentary loss of power once before, and this was when the car was very new, under hard acceleration loss of total power for a split second, was very disconcerting.

Any advice would be greatly appreciate, cheers max.

I'd get it looked at, the fault should be logged on the ECU

Could be spark plugs. Had them replaced under warranty and it sorted a similar problem.
