Have the fun boot lock issue so want to see if I can resolve it myself

this is probably easy but Haynes isn't to clear and running a screw driver around the trim doesn't seem a good idea until i have a better idea where the clips are

any help/pictures gratefully received

It just pops out.

Invest in a set of trim removal tools. They're just hard plastic and offer leverage without risk of damaging your trim.

mine came off easily by hand but was a nightmare to get back on, if you can leave the side next to the window attached that might help.
