FOR SALE - Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport GTI -

Featured Replies

I am reluctantly putting up for sale PastyWagon #2

The car was purchased 11 months ago as a commuting/track tool; however the track tool plans haven't really came to pass and there must be cheaper ways to commute out there!

The car has been mechanically flawless during my ownership, with the only non-scheduled trips to garages being caused by scrotes (drilled fuel tank) and 13 years worth of corrosion (exhaust).

Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport Gti

2.0l 8v engine

116,000 miles

Regularly serviced and maintained

Fuelly average of 34.8 mpg

Also includined in the sale will be:

a complete central locking system - was purchased to fix it not unlocking on the remote - only to find just the key fob needed replacing

a set of VW Corrado alloy wheels - purchased to use on the trackday but as yet haven't been on the car

Ideally looking for £800

Looks tidy mate, GLWS :)

Any interior and engine images at all?

Appreciate it's on £1k's worth of car but anything cosmetic damage, etc?

Thanks Babs - it really is a reluctant sale.

A revvy NA petrol has infected my previously diesel filled viens.

However my wallet, and subsequently my brain, is making arguments to the contrary.

Si - Those pics where the ones i snapped for my "look what i've bought thread" and i haven't taken any others.

I can of course take any you deem necessary.

Interior wise it's the multicoloured cloth rather than the half leather tiger stripe the 16v's got, a la:

3555058-4.jpg

It's all clean, unstained, and with no rips.

99% of everything interior wise works.

Everything that should heat heats.

Everything that should move moves.

Everything that should activate at the pres of a button does, apart from the rear wash wipe which i'm puttin down to dead motor.

It even still has it's original Grundig tape player!

Externally the car's 13 years old and is actually looking pretty good on it.

There is a scuff on the front bumper which is just about visible in the first picture.

It has been touched up (pretty poorly) with silver but looks like it's been dinged again hence the black you can see.

These "incidents" (all prior to my ownership btw) also lead to a front bumper that looks ever so slightly incorrectly seated.

The bonnet catch is a bit temporamental when closing and often refuses to latch 9 times out of 10; unless given the appropriate force.

As such the very front edge of the bonnet bears an ever so slight crease where someone (again prior to my ownership) has used a little too much vigour to get it shut!

Engine wise it's bog standard and should still have most of it's 115bhp - It certainly pulls well enough at all revs in all gears.

The only things ii've had to do under the bonnet that weren't regualr service items were to change the cam cover gasket which had degraded and led to a small oil seepage; and to replace a breather pipe which had gone soft and worn a hole in itself.

I bought the car with the attitude that it was old and it'd done a fair amount of miles; meaning it WOULD break down and I WOULD constanly be replacing/fixing bits, but the fun woudl balance all that out.

Luckily only the fun bit has come true!!

Thanks for the response, just on the hunt for a little run around for someone and will pass this on as a potential option.......

flew through it's MOT yesterday - advisories on tyres which i will get replaced in due course, wheel bearing which will be tightened/replaced asap, front console bushes which i'll consider sorting.

Also got an advisory for no rear seats?! :S who knew! :D

offers considered - have found a PD so need to get this out of the garage

 I get those all the time...... coupled with, majority of interior trim missing, rear seat belts missing etc. etc. :giggle:

GLWTS Mr. Pasty.

Thanks Baz

It would also appear pistonheads have started charging for adverts - the feckers!

could prove more costly the shift it than i expected.

That said I could always snap off webuyanycar.com's hand with £105 in it though?

£105? Wow, they really are crap.

Good luck with the sale, seems like a great little runaround

Have i missed something here, or am I going daft, or colour blind?

Car pictured is silver, 2nd batch of piccies showing interior and the exterior looks red to me. :S

Am I going senile, and apologies if the answer is seemingly yes.

The car for sale is the silver one in the first pics.

He didnt have any interior pics on him at present so just used the red cars interior as an example of what they are like

It does say it in the thread :)

Nice little car BTW

GLWTS

Thanks Damo

If anyone wants pictures of the actual interior let me know

Mr Ree for not reading the entire thread you have to now buy the car.

Soz matey. I did read the posts and description, but the relevant bit must have passed me by sadly.

If I didn't have a path full of motors already and needed another track day car, I'd bloody well have that!

Still, at least my gormless posts have kept the thread 'bubbling' for you.
