I wonder what sort of tyres this lot had on? Bet they were all season tyres:

The real action starts at about 3 minutes in.

Bit of a pain having to go everywhere in reverse!!!!!!

Look at all the 4x4s sliding past in this one including a Land Rover Defender on knobbly tyres!!!! Bless.

Without doubt all season tyres!

Notced the white vehicle at 2min 40s has one of those parking aid things that park the car for you when you can't park yourself :giggle:

That was epic. Some of those cars were going mega fast for the conditions. Surprised the road wasn't closed!

are you trying to start another winter tyres thread?

:giggle: :giggle: Nope This is just for amusement.

Just proves it doesn't matter what tyres you have on when a road is in that condition. There is a big difference between water, mud, snow or solid ice. Also going up a slippery slope is a lot different to coming back down.

Classic moment at 4:20 when the guy hits the snowplough: "Darn, if only that hadn't been there I mighta made it through..."

I reckon you should rename this thread "summer tyres on ice"

Would make a good winter show!

Better than snow white and her crew anyway :giggle:

I reckon you would struggle even with winter tyres in these conditions? :giggle:

It also has to be remembered that most of those cars are "yank tanks" with auto gear boxes, and owners with little brains!

Except the Cheltenham one, and I think the latter part of my comment applies there too!!

Yes, right colour too. :D

Problems is, have you seen a GT-R tyre up close.

It's about as "summer" as you can get before putting semi-slicks on!

You can get winter tyres for them, but you need to buy and import them from America... obviously nobody told this driver that.

Reminds me a several 4x4 drivers that think once the snow settles they are invincible. :dull:

These would surly coped with that condition they sure are great on my yeti

The Cheltenham Downhill would still be bad, but at least you have a decent chance of arriving at the end of the hill with the car facing the same direction as when you started
